Hi,
Someone wrote me and said I’d upped my poetry game but poetry seemed to be my language of grief. Hmmm, maybe. I have felt rather sad of late and I do feel that giving our expression to feelings is a healthy thing and helps us to understand them.
So I’ve found myself listening to a certain styles of music that accompany my mood. One of the artists who has been getting airtime is Nick Drake. Nick is a talent lost at an early age. He died following an overdose of anti-depressants at the age of 26. Tragic.
He was gone long before you came along so I’ll share my favourite of Nick’s songs with you.
Northern Sky which I’m sure you’ll appreciate😉
There’s a whole catalogue os music out there if you like this.
Have a good one,
Wic
Listened to Nick Drake. A gentle song! Maybe, more truly, poetry is a voice not only for grief, but for emotions that refuse to be tempered by reason.

Yes, maybe our poetry bears witness to our true self.
