My shadow grew long
As I walked away
The sun shone down behind me
I had not realised
How bright it was
Until my shadow spoke to me
The woods were aged
And dense with growth
I walked for hours
Lost in thought
But then the woodsman came
Finally I saw the trees
Music has filled my days
An undemanding companion
Occupying the space
But then I found
I needed something else
And the silence spoke so eloquently
So now I’ve got to thinking
I need in my life
To actually be here
Knowing what’s all about
So much is passing by
Carpe Diem it is then
Nice one, makes me want to take a walk, if all the snow and cold were gone.
