So I want to disagree, with respect. I believe you to be a spiritual person possessed of “faith”. As such, has there not been a moment when you knew that this life was not all there is? Again, for those who aspire to realise consciousness there comes a moment when they can realise they are the “watcher”, the one outside of experience and observing thought as it arises. I believe in both experience (which are probably the same, just differing language) we move beyond hedging our bets to a place of certainty.
Is it? Because we don’t empirically know, we can only hedge our bets, choose to believe it is AND isn’t and to live accordingly, BOTH. 🤭

*sigh* I used to have such certainty, or at least I thought I did. Now, I’m a bit not certain about certitude 🤔
