Go deep or go home.
What are your thoughts on that one? Think, we’ve had ‘go big or go home’ and as I cast my gaze around I’m thinking that was a success but, as you know, no judgement here. I looked at myself in the mirror once and, hey, definitely no judgement here! It wouldn’t do others any harm to take an occasional look in the mirror, but that’s another letter. As said, ‘no judgement here’.
So what do you think, ‘Go deep or go home’, what does it mean?
Well, and these are just my thoughts so do as you please with them, it starts with an awareness that maybe, just maybe, there’s more to life than we are each currently experiencing. The clues are there, all about. The words of a song, someone else’s writing, a moment when nature just surprises us, that feeling we couldn’t quite define, a moment when we realise we know something that we shouldn’t know. The list goes on. But so much is missed.
I feel like I’m waiting for something that isn’t going to happen.curiano.com
The first step to realising a deep life is surely then to slow down. Maybe even stop and take in what we have experienced. To begin to count the possibility. To begin to count the possibility of a lesson in every moment is to make a great discovery. All around us life runs on deadlines, on the need for immediate decisions. Our opinions and attitudes are fair game for all sorts of media and anything less than a very deliberate engagement with life will allow us to be swept along on a route of least resistance in common with many, many others.
Hygge (hue-gah) – Danish
(n) the ritual of enjoying life’s simple pleasures.
Friends, family, graciousness
So slow down and be more deliberate about what you do and what you think. Maybe question yourself. If you are at all able, and this takes practice, stand back and view yourself, your actions and your thoughts. You do so much without even thinking, but now stop and ask yourself why you are doing what you are doing. Is there a better way? What will be the outcome of your actions or thoughts? And…what are the other options because there are always other options? Life is beginning to take on a new dimension, a little more depth and, hey, something has begun. Remember its ‘begun’ because this is a journey and we are on a journey as we revisited in our last letter.
How far do we have to go?
Does anyone know? I’m thinking the possibilities are endless and the prospect more than exciting
Some days I wish I could go back in life. Not to change anything, but to feel a few things twice.Bulk quotes now.
Plus this mission, should you choose to accept it, is going to prove to us life at its best, is a whole lot simpler than many of us currently appreciate.
‘Go deep or go home’. I think we may be back on track with our journey and have a mini series to boot. Sweet!
Yours, appreciating the moment,
