Love is immensely deep and in many aspects unfathomable. The volumes of prose, the outpouring of tormented poets, the hours of study all bear witness to this. But, paradoxically, it is simple, so simple and when we find it we know with a childlikeness that expels doubt.
As said, I have been reading around the subject for a week or so and came across this poem by Mary Oliver from her book Felicity:
HOW DO I LOVE YOU?
How do I love you?
Oh, this way and that way.
Oh, happily. Perhaps
I may elaborate bydemonstration? Like
this, and
like this andno more words now
Love, so simple…..
Wic
”Relationships, and love, are simple…. it’s people who make these things complicated.”
Something I read that caused me to pause for thought 😉
