What if?
Oh tell me, what if?
God wrote another book
What if?
What if, which ever one you read
Which ever one you declare divine
Inspired and inerrant
Handed down from on high
What if it was actually volume two?
What if there is a single text
A single text
That preceeds all held so high
By the self proclaimed chosen?
What if all you have
Is a commentary on what came before?
What if God wrote in stone
More than once?
If everything has been expressed
What if today I walked
Through the pages of that first book
And the pages were alive?
What if a river ran
And the Divine voice could be heard?
A bird sang sweetly
And its song was God’s smile
What if God had written in ice and snow
In wind, cloud and sky
What if the Divine was all about
In tree and plant
The rain, the sun
The bird, the beast
If nothing was more sacred
Because all was sacred
What if all had been revealed
And if we could but read
Your book you would not need
What if we came to know
Just how blind we are
How much goes unseen
That eyes are not the only way to see
That the Law is God
God is the Law
And in nature it is made whole
What if we learnt to read
The greater book?
Wonderful ♥️
