Pogue,
I went to Japan firstly to see the autumn foliage. The acers turning red which is quite something. Think I’m crazy to travel halfway around the world to see nature at work? Someone said to me, “God has painted the trees to captivate us”.

I guess they were right! Somehow, whatever man does, at the zenith of his achievements, it never matches nature. Was there ever a picture painted that was this amazing.?
And there’s a song that played in my head as I sat and absorbed the views. I’ve chosen the version of the song from the most recent Thomas Crown Affair movie. Sung by Sting, there’s a line that says:
When you knew that it was over,
Windmills Of Your Mind by Marilyn Bergman, Alan Bergman, Michel Legrand
You were suddenly aware,
That the autumn leaves were changing
To the colour of your hair
Go for a walk today. There are still some autumn leaves to appreciate and hum the song as you go. It’s rather catchy.
Yours,
Wic
