La La La La La La
La La La La La La
I heard the Sirens sing
The mesmerising call of my Odyssey
Like a line attached
And drawing me, drawing me, in
La La La La La La
La La La La La La
Oh Odysseus you walked a blades sharp edge
You gave to your desires
Yet remained unfulfilled
Tormented and taunted
Tied according to your will
Restrained against every desire
To hear the Sirens sing*
La La La La La La
La La La La La La
And I am drawn to a sound
That causes me to stir
Who will bind Me
Lest I am lost?
How will I not succumb
To so enticing a melody
Bidding ‘Hear me’ until you can hear no more
La La La La La La
La La La La La La
Bind me before it is too late
For I have not power to stay away
Plug your ears to self preserve
If you are lost what hope I?
Chain my mind before control is lost
That I may endure
And come through this Odyssey

How I love Odysseus’ honesty, humility and proactiveness before the Sirens! Thanks for the reminder to engage the help of others in averting my own weakness in pending temptation.
