Been Reading…

Pogue,

There’s a trilogy that’s currently two books deep and there it’s been for some time. Over eight years actually. And there are so many waiting for it to be published because the first two novels were so good. The Name Of The Wind and The Wise Man’s Fears have been read compulsively by many I know and both gained critical acclaim.

It had flaws, but what does that matter when it comes to matters of the heart? We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That’s as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.

Words are pale shadows of forgotten names. As names have power, words have power. Words can light fires in the mind of men. Word can wring tears from the hardest heart.

“But you of all people should realise how thin the line is between the truth and a compelling lie. Between history and an entertaining story.” Chronicler gave his word a minute to sink in. “You know which will win, given time.”

Three small quotes from the books to give your a taster. Great reads.

Have the best of days.
